WOW! Oppies Welcomes Tencent's Hit Reality Show to Rotorua

At Oppies, every photograph on our walls tells a story. This year, we were honoured to add another memorable chapter as we welcomed the production team of Tencent's popular Chinese travel reality show WOW! The World (Season 2) during their visit to Rotorua.

Filmed as part of the programme's New Zealand journey, the internationally recognised production introduced millions of viewers across China to the breathtaking landscapes, Māori culture and unique experiences that make Rotorua one of New Zealand's most unforgettable destinations. The series highlights immersive travel experiences around the world, encouraging audiences to discover new cultures, cuisines and adventures.

For the Oppies family, it was a privilege to play a small part in this exciting production and to share our hospitality with the cast and crew.
